Not only was Over the Hedge clever, but it was a little daring in its criticism of some aspects of society - like people who move to the suburbs to be close to nature, then they trim it, tame it and fence it off, or the animals who lost interest in foraging for wholesome food when they could get a quick buzz from stealing junk food. |
