The Invisible

I was disappointed in this movie, it was okay but not great. It's based on foreign book and film and I think something may have gotten lost in the translation. The premise is that a high school boy is beaten to death by some classmates over a misunderstanding. He is left in the woods but his "spirit" is trying to solve his death. He eventually discovers that he is actually barely alive and needs to race the clock to save his own life. The movie focuses around the troubled girl who instigated his beating and the spirit's connection to her.

The whole premise is implausible in itself but there are also many parts of the movie that conveniently suspend belief in reality to make the movie work. It's worth renting but not worth paying to go see.
