Saw the trailer for this at "Pirates" and it looks like it has potential. God doesn't give Evan the same powers as he did Bruce, but basically asks him to build an Ark and turns him into a modern-day Noah. The only problem with that is that in all the flood mythology stories, including the Bible, the Creator promised never to do it again and set his bow in the sky after the rain as a symbol of that promise (hence the rainbow). So having God go back on that promise is kind of dumb, IMO. But it'll probably make for a fun movie. |
