Nip/Tuck is a series that pushes the limits of what is normally construed as "edgy television". The series, one of the highest rated on cable television, plays like one you might see on HBO or Showtime with the poignant drama, sharp humor, and racy content to match. Much has been made of the show's surgery scenes, but, they only account for about one scene per show and are almost never over the top gruesome. A more contoversial subject would be the almost gratuitous use of the "S" word, and the love scenes, which at some times seem to be inspired by cinemax. This is not your father's TV Drama, but it's prime time television at its best and most addictive. |
