At first, I was hesitant about seeing this movie. Now, I can honestly say that I am so glad I went to see it with my friends. I intend to see it again, either at the theatre or on DVD later this year. I choked up about 4-5 times during the movie, it had such a deep effect on me. I embarassingly wiped a tear from my eye during one of the fight scenes in which Braddock is flashing back. In the end, when Braddock and Baer were going toe to toe, the drama was so intense I caught myself squeezing my food wrapper tighter and tighter. This didn't happen to me during Rocky, a movie I loved, and my reaction caught me by surprise. You can't help but root for the humble, determined, charming man named Braddock. If you see this movie, it could change you. Ron Howard and the rest of the crew and cast have done something very special here.

Never liked Rocky anyway, so maybe this is not the film for me...
