Favorite Classic Movie

So what is everyones favorite classic movie? I have a ton but I would have to say "Gone With The Wind", even thought it was a long movie. The other one would be "Breakfast At Tiffany's" So what are your favorites?

My MOST favorite classic movie is "An Affair to Remember". Ohhh... so romantic and SUCH a tearjerker!!! *sigh* Oh, gets me EVERY time. I loved Sleepless in Seattle, too, which is basically a reworking of "An Affair to Remember".

You are so right that "An Affair to Remember" was a tearjerker. I haven't watched that one in years. I didn't see Sleepless in Seattle. Don't know why just never picked it up.

I rarely watch those oldies from that far back, but there is just one that sticks in my mind, Holiday Inn I think it was. A Bing Crosby thing I believe.

I like GWTW, and I really like "The Ghost and Mrs. Muir" although I haven't seen it in ages. I wonder if the movie place has a copy.

OOHHHH... Sleepless in Seattle is SO SO SO good!! It had some great actors, also. Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks were just so wonderful. I highly recommend it. It is one of my favorite movies of all time.

I still love Casablanca because it has a bit of everything - old loves, new loves, spy stories, history, suspense. Don't forget huge personalities that fill the screen like Bogart and Bergman.

I have "Casablanca", I think, and if I don't, I have to add it to my collection. I know I've got "The Maltese Falcon" which is another I really enjoy, although the dialogue of some of those older movies makes me giggle.

For me it would be Citizen Kane ....followed by The Thin Man series and anything with Claude Raines or Laurence Olivier in it.
