Your Own Movie Channel

I'm actually not a big movie buff even though I came into this disucssion room.

However I have a small set of movies that I consider great and I like to own them.

I'm not too exicted about most of the movies that come out today.

I do like Nicole Kidman. There's just something about her.

So what can we do about this ?

We have to create some great movies !

I have two stories that I feel could be converted into great movies.
These stories have withstood the test of time:

The Men Who Killed Kennedy (already a dvd series)

The Death Of Superman (already the greatest selling trade paperback ever)

For the 40th anniversary of the Kennedy assassination The History Channel came out with 3 additional episodes of 'The Men Who Killed Kennedy' called 'The Final Chapter'.

Within a few days the Johnson family took legal action to prevent these dvds from ever being shown on tv or sold again.

This is war now.

I have those 3 additional episodes of 'The Men Who Killed Kennedy'. I make copies of them and give them to people. They still contain the commercials because they were taped right off of tv when they were shown for the only time.

They name names about who the conspirators were.

This Kennedy story is better than any Tom Clancy thriller could be and it's all true.

If You Had Your Own Movie THEATER

Along those same lines I have an idea about creating a chain of movie theaters or possibly bring back the drive ins.

I could play all the new movies but what about playing the oldies ?

Like have a Twilight Zone marathon, horror marathon, James Bond marathon, etc..

A typical line up for a Saturday might be:

The Thing (1951)
The Thing (1982)
The Manster
I Was A Teenage Werewolf
The Night Stalker

(then start over with The Thing 1951)

Then instead of serving regular soft drinks and things like this serve all organic stuff for health reasons.

However these theaters would have to offer something more than just a regular movie theater.

Later.

i'd probably aim a majority of humor and science fiction films as they are those i realy go for the most, i'd play many films of the 80's as i still found them original back then and they weren't all remakes
