Question Looking For Movie About Guy Alone In House

I'm looking for a movie I saw a long time ago where this guy is alone in his house over the weekend or something and he starts fighting with this strange force in the house.

I think the force ends up being a mouse or something but it's a very unusual mouse.

You don't see the mouse very much if at all but you see what it does.

This is a comedy I would say.

Thanks.

Of Unknown Origin (1983)

I think someone found this movie for me.

Of Unknown Origin (1983) (see description below)

It wasn't a mouse that was attacking him but a rat.

If it's the one I'm thinking of I highly recommend this movie.

Finding this movie was starting to become an obsession for me. I think because I felt I have watched so many movies and only a few really stand out as being good and this is one of them.

The guy who told me has a web site where he sells movies.

This is the second time he came through for me.

He also found the episode of "The Men Who Killed Kennedy" called "The Smoking Guns" which is not available publicly due to legal action that was taken by the Johnson family and others.

Thanks.

Of Unknown Origin (1983)

Starring: Peter Weller, Jennifer Dale Director: George P. Cosmatos Rating

Genres: Horror
Tagline: If it can't scare them to death, it will find another way.
Plot Outline A man who recently completed rebuilding a townhouse
becomes obsessed with a rat infestation until it becomes an
interspecies duel.
Plot Synopsis: Bart Hughes (Peter Weller) has a pretty good life,
a beautiful wife (Shannon Tweed), a young son, a good job with
promotion prospects, and a renovated brownstone in New York.
When wife and kid leave for a vacation, Bart stays behind to work on
a project that will earn him that promotion, unaware that a certain
inhabitant of his basement has other plans for his time. Bart goes a bit
bonkers trying to kill this rat, destroying most of his house in the process.

Certain allegorical elements tie the household conflict to the "rat race" in
his office, but the main event is certainly the night-and-day contest of
wills between man and rodent.
