I was just wondering if anyone else is tired of paying so much to go see a movie when it first comes out? Not only the price of seeing the movie is up there but holy cow the price of refreshments is absolutly ridiculous. I know that this has stopped me from going to see so many movies at the theatre. So what do you all think. Is it getting to exspensive already or when do you feel it would be to costly for you to go see a movie at the theatre? | ||

| We're very lucky to have second run theatre that only costs $3 for admission. We wait a little bit longer to see movies (maybe 2-3 weeks from release) but it's completely worth it to pay so little. Otherwise, I completely rely on our online rental service to fill the gaps! For about $10 a month we get a lot of rentals. | ||

| The closest "cheap seat" theater is over an hour away,so we generally don't go to the movies that often. They have matinee prices, which are around $4.50 each, but it doesn't help THAT much. I wish they'd bring the prices down, too. But, I guess it's like gasoline, the price isn't likely to come back down. ![]() | ||

| Ticket prices are in the vicinity of $8-9 right now (evening prices) Thus, my husband and I only go when it is a movie we REALLY want to see. We don't go to dinner beforehand to save on money, and my MIL sits with my son. (we leave after we put him down for bed) I usually sneak in some candy in my purse and we buy one gigantic drink to share. It is still close to $25 for both of us to go! | ||
