Stephen Chow's Movies

I love to watch Stephen Chow's movies... They're so funny and entertaining at the same time. When I have a bad day, I just pick up his DVD and pop them into the player and laugh my ass off... The best of his movies so far is Shaolin Soccer and I can't wait to get my hands on his latest movie Kung Fu Hustle... News has it that Kung Fu Hustle is the all time money raker in Hong Kong...
Anyone else enjoys Stephen Chow movies and what's your favourite?

Only seen Shaolin Soccer, but if I come into contact with any others I'll take a look-see

I saw most of Stephen Chow's movies like Shaolin Soccer, Kung Fu Hustle, The Tricky Master, The King of Comedy, Sixty Million Dollar Man and A Chinese Odyssey they were so funny. My favorite is Kung Fu Hustle.

i am from hk, didn't know so many people know stephen chow.
when i watched the films and i found out the english sub text is shit and boring. i think the movies will be a lot funnier if the english sub can be made more intresting by some language professional.

i think it is the same when i see an english film. it is more fun and enjoyable to listen to english than read the sub text.

Hi alpon903, welcome to MovieMonkeys...

Unfortunately, for viewers that do not understand a word of Chinese, subtitles makes a lot of difference. It enables viewers to follow the story while watching Chow going about in his antics... His latest movie which was Kung Fu Hustle is one that needed no subtitles as the movie was entirely based on special effects/computer graphics that cannot even compare to those made by Hollywood...

His best movie, IMO will still be Shaolin Soccer...

Yeah Shaolin Soccer was great, anyone remember when he was fined by the cops for kicking the tin can several thousand feet?

Also did anyone watch Kung Fu hustle? I'm thinking of seeing that later.

I would say to skip the movie (Kung Fu Hustle) unless you're into lousy special effects for 2 hours... Here's my review on Kung Fu Hustle...
