As far as entertainment purposes: Mad Doctor Of Blood Island / Brides Of Blood / Beast Of Blood Godzilla (U.S. and Japanese Versions) Godzilla 2000 Godzilla vs. Destoroyah Horror Hotel I Was A Teenage Werewolf IT ! (The Terror From Beyond Space) Invasion Of The Saucer Men Not Of This Earth (original) Of Unknown Origin Phantasm PSYCHO The Blob (with Steve McQueen) The Brain That Wouldn't Die The Flesh Eaters The Fly / The Return Of The Fly / The Curse Of The Fly The Four Skulls Of Jonathan Drake The Haunting (original) The Hideous Sun Demon The Hypnotic Eye The Incredible Shrinking Man The Indestructible Man The Manster The Thing (from another world) The Thing (John Carpenter's remake 1982) The Thing That Couldn't Die The Twilight Zone Collections A far as the most frightening those are the movies and documentaries that are based on real events such as: The Exorcist The Ametyville Horror A Haunting In Connecticut The Century Of Warfare I cannot keep books or dvds such as The Ametyville Horror around. The evil spirits start attacking me. Like they will call me up on the phone and start talking backwards and things like that. I should have saved that tape and played it backwards I could have understood what they were saying. (Then again maybe it's better I didn't do that.) I recently had to erase a documentary from my cable box which was about the haunting activity in an insane asylum. I had taped it from The SciFi channel or one of those. The evil forces attack in the dream state which is at the subconsious level I guess. I start having very vivid dreams which are more like real experiences. In fact the spirit world is more real than this physical dimension. I can see how some people actually enjoy going into that other world. They get lost in the maze of their own mind. Insanity is like an isolation I guess. A separation. Jeff Marzano Last edited by marzano : 06-28-06 at 20:25.

| Wow, Jeff, quite a list! What years are these movies: A Haunting In Connecticut The Century Of Warfare I am curious about them. I never heard of them, so might rent them to see for myself. My favorites are: The Blair Witch Project (original) - scared the living hell of me - still does! The Saw (original remake) What Lies Beneath (not really a horror, but scared me real good...) Best,

"A Haunting In Connecticut" was the pilot movie for a new series that The Discovery Channel came out with called "A Haunting In...". This family has a son who has cancer so they have to move to Connecticut on a limited budget. They find this big old house to rent dirt cheep. What they didn't realize is it was a funeral parlor. In fact some of the morturay equipment like these long knives are still down in the "lab". So they put the boys' bedroom down next to the lab. Apparently people had been having sex with dead bodies during satanic rituals. This activity opened up a portal directly into hell down in the lab. The "man in the suit" (possibly Anton LeVey) starts appearing to the oldest kid. Eventually he becomes possessed. I feel the main the suit appeared to me one night. He told me: "We have a mutual friend" Then he went out into the kitchen. Then every episode is a different haunting like "The Haunting Of Summerwind" and some others. The ones I saw were all excellent. I haven't seen that show "A Haunting In..." on tv lately. I'm wondering if perhaps The Discovery Channel realized they are messing around with something that is dangerous. "The Century Of Warfare" is not a horror film. It's a documentary series about the various wars that occurred during the last century. In a way I guess World War 2 was a sort of Ametyville Horror don't you think ? Later. Jeff

| It sounds stupid but i first watched when i was about 7 , The bride of chucky , i dont thinks its meant to be a horror but they still scare me now , i absolutely hate those dolls. None of the new films really scare me anymore they all use cheap scare tactics and rely too heavily on music (although i no this is an important mood setter). i think the ebst scary movies are the ones that are based on true storys or could realy happen. For example the exorcism of emily rose , wasnt very scary ,however it is based on true events and some of the story line is true to what happened , so that personally makes it slightly scarier. Going back to what artashes said about The blair witch project number 1. That mad me sea sick more than anythign else , witht the camera constantly moving. Cronus | ||

Yes that is true physical objects like statues can be associated with evil energy due to what they represent. I was planning on ordering a statue of the witch Medussa due to my interest in mythology. But she started attacking me in that dream state. I realize now I could never keep a statue like that around. Perhaps those Chucky dolls would do the same thing. Yes I heard about that movie about Emily Rose. I will probably check it out (but not keep it in the house). That's why it can sometimes be fun to let kids watch scary movies. They get scared. I always try to find kids who have never seen PSYCHO and then I give it to them. Psycho is based on Robert Bloch's novel about a real guy: Ed Gein Norman was actually quite similar to Ed in many ways. Hitchcock's translation of this story into the movie can only be called artistic genius. Jeff
