This is one of those movies I'm going to have to rent when Hubs is working. He hates chick flicks. But, I'm looking forward to it.

I thought it was surprisingly successful as a book adaptation. Usually, films aren't as good if you like the book but this one was the exception. Streep was fabulous!

I don't think I've seen any movie that Streep wasn't fab in. I just recently watched the one that she's in with Nicole Kidman and Julianna Moore, about Virginia Woolf? Dang the title escapes me, but Kidman won an award for it? Anyway, Streep was awesome in this one as well.

i haven't seen it yet, but I can't help thinking it might be Streep doing another version of Cruela Devil in 101 Dalmations. Is there more dimension to this role?

Far more dimension than Cruela, and far less campy too. Streep really nails the fashionista editor.
