Grindhouse

This is not one I've seen yet though I'm strangely drawn to it and my husband would love to see it. We kind of collect obscure and odd movies. From what I gather it's actually two movies? It runs for over 3 hours- I'm not sure I'd make it through that in the theater. Has anyone seen it or heard anything about it?

I'm curious about the film just because of the two directors, but from the reviews I've seen online, I think I'll wait. It may be one of those that I prefer to hit the 'pause' button on lol.

I have heard that this movie is pretty good actually. Yes it is two films in one. I think I will wait and rent this one thought only because I don't care to sit that long in a theatre to watch it.

I haven't heard of these movies. Is it currently in the theaters?

I know, personally, there are very few movies I would sit in a theater for 3 hours for. The Lord of the Rings movies were the exception. But, then you didn't realize you'd been there that long. They drew you in. I guess if you ARE going to, you need to make sure not to drink anything during the movie. LOL

I have no desire to see "Grindhouse". I have heard that both features are over-the-top gory and violent. I think they made this to be like the old double features they used to have. I think the movies look very dark and very bizarre.

Well, Quentin Tarantino is known for gore so that's pretty expected. I'm not a huge fan of his because he seems to be out more for exploitation than creativity.
