Knocked Up

I mentioned this in genmay (just noticed this forum) but I think it looks really funny. It's made by the director of 40 Year Old Virgin and has a similar feel to it seems. The movies official site is funny (trailers load quicker than on IMDB) http://www.knockedupbabymaker.com and the baby generator entertained me for a solid 30 minutes or so. Some of the combos are just freakishly disturbing.

Am I imagining things or did I recognize Izzy from Grey's Anatomy in the preview of the movie? It's often interesting to see how characters from a TV series will adapt to one big-screen story line. Sandra Oh was pretty convincing in the wine movie "Sideways". She does well with vulnerable spitfire roles.

Then there's the baby faced guy from How I Met Your Mother, another alumnus of the Freaks and Geeks show. He's in this one too. I cannot remember his name, though...

I seen something on tv just yesterday on this movie. It actually looks quite good from what I have seen. I am sure I won't see this one though until it is out on DVD. This is what my husband would call a Chick Flick.

I think it actually looks pretty funny! It will be a bit distracting for me since Katherine is so recognizable as "Izzy" to me. But, since it is the same director as "40 Year Old Virgin", I am betting it will be great!!

My thoughts exactly! My hubby does not do the chick flicks. On the other hand, this will be a great excuse to get together with my sister and have a movie night!

The premise seems a little out there for me. There's absolutely no reason in this day and age why a woman has to be get married to someone she doesn't love just b/c she's preggers. But, I guess once you overlook this I've heard it's a pretty good movie, although I won't watch it. I didn't really care for the 40 Year Old Virgin, so I probably won't like this one.
