Night at the Museum

Whose seen this movie yet. Hubs bought this last week on DVD and there are some really funny moments in it. It's a little lame and dry in spots, but it did make for a great family movie.

My kids have been bothering me to buy this for them, but I think I'd rather rent it. I'd hate to really dislike the movie and have spent the money on it.

I would be interested in hearing some opinions on this movie. The previews seem like it would be a bit dry, with not the best story line. However, my 7 year old keeps bugging me to see it.

Somebody else told me they had seen this and it was kind of fun. I'll probably rent it in the near future. I almost always rent before I buy so I'll know which movie I want to watch over and over. If one time is enough, then renting is the way to go.

I like that QuietLunatic - That's a good way to handle it. There are few things that I KNOW I'll want to buy, but those are few and far between.

I thought it was quite funny. At first glance it looks like a kids movie but there's lots of humor for adults.

I don't know a whole lot about it, but I'm pretty sure that Ben Stiller is in it. And I think Robin Williams has a cameo or something. From what I've heard, it's about the strange happenings at a museum during the grave yard shift. It could be funny, but I don't think I'd want to buy it.

It's a Ben Stiller movie and like all Stiller movies it is dry and the humor is also dry, but, it is a lot of fun. Basically, it's about a man, Stiller who takes a job at a museum as a night watchman. He thinks its going to be boring and it is until nightfall. Then the all the characters in the museum come to life, including the T-Rex skeleton. It's a lot of fun and my son absolutely loved it.
