My 'baby' is now a robust 2yo! So, we are finally venturing out to the movies again. I think the first time I left him to go to the movies was when I went to see the first Pirates movie! I left him with my mother-in-law. He was around 6 months old at the time. It is much better to watch a DVD at home. That way, if you nod off, you can pick up where you left off. | |||

| I don't know, Evie, we went to see some movie while my son was really young. I don't recall which movie we saw, but I do remember when the lights went down I breastfed him. He was perfectly content the rest of the movie. | ||

| I thought it was a big disappointment. To me, the first movie was just perfect. It was fun above all else, had great characters and a good ending. The second film was okay, but not as good as the original. I liked Davy Jones and the overall darker theme of the movie, but it suffered from not having a true ending. This one though...was just bad. The constant double-crosses got tiring, nobody had any fun, and by the end of the movie I just didn't care about any of the characters anymore. SPOILERS: Highlight to read: And what I really hated was that Norrington and Sao Feng were killed so early. I was looking forward to them being in the end, fighting it out. Not to mention that the Kraken, the best thing about the second movie was relegated to an off-screen death! I would recommend the first movie to anybody. But I'd tell them to not watch the sequels because they just end up ruining the characters. The exact same thing happened with "The Matrix". The first movie was perfect. But then instead of making two independant sequels, they made essentially one film stretched out over 5 hours that just couldn't hold up to the original. Either make three films at once like the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, or make three unique films like the "Indiana Jones" trilogy, but don't mix the two. Hopefully Hollywood will learn from these two mistakes. And in case you didn't know, make sure you stay until after the credits for an additional scene, just like with the two previous movies. | ||

| I liked the movie okay, but didn't like the ending. It definitely left it hanging for a fourth movie. Of course, whether they make it, or release it, will depend on how this one does, I'm sure. I don't know that I'd go see it again and again, but I'll probably buy it when it comes out on DVD. | ||
