Poseidon

I had very high expectations going into the theatre, and I was rather dissapointed. Although it definately kept my attention, in my opinion, it just seemed way too unrealistic. The visual effects were of good quality, but still the film was, for lack of a better word, extremely cheesy.

So it doesn't match up to the titanic i guess? (that is i guess that that would be hard to equal again ship wise)

I would definately say I enjoyed the Titanic more. Maybe because it was a true story, it seemed more interesting. Poseidon just seemed way too unrealistic.

I think that the two movies have completely different themes. Titanic is more of a love story, while Poseidon is of escape---escape from a sinking ship.

Many movie critics have commented that Poseidon possesses striking imagery and visual effects, but it does nothing to reveal the personalities of the characters.

Movie Critic Roger Erbert states that Poseidon was "perfunctory, by which I mean, according to the dictionary that came with my computer: cursory, desultory, hurried, rapid, fleeting, token, casual, superficial, careless, halfhearted, sketchy, mechanical, automatic, routine, and offhand."

I tend not to like films who look too fake, where you get special effects every ten seconds too. And i hate films where the heroes always win at the end, taht realy gets on my nerves

At one point in the movie they had to go underwater, and miraculously they were all able to hold their breath for 3 minutes...hm...

People are just soooooo intelligent, and do such incredible things in movies these days. I prefer movies where i can identify myself to the characters.

I haven't seen this film yet but I think that i won't beable to resist for much longer. I love what i've seen of it and sometimes prefer avoiding the bad critics to get a good idea myself

I sort of enjoyed this film, it wasn't that bad... i would of just added a little more action and maybe a death or two more amongst the surviving passengers
