Do so, it's political satire at it's best without ever losing that trademark Parker/Stone sense of humour... with puppets...

As Matt and Trey said, as soon as they start saying "We can't take the piss outta this thing" they're gonna stop writing, and in the meantime, anyone could be (and generally is) ripe for parody...

I was reading in zoo that the sex scene had some bits cut as excrement and such just wasn't suitable.

Yeah, I read a quote on IMDB something to the effect of it being initially rated NC-17 for something like "violence, foul language, scatalogical humour and sexual acts... all involving puppets" and having the government saying it was unpatriotic and pro-terrorism, or something along those lines that you'd expect a Republican to say. They used that publicity to promote it initially, but edited it to get what Kevin Smith refers to as "those R-rating dollars" and make it available to a larger audience.

Still... the final product came out pretty damn good...

Has anyone seen thunderbirds? Since Team America is basicly thunderbirds porn.

Yeah, they had to get permission from Gerry Anderson (creator of Thunderbirds for those not in the know) to use the style... I reckon it would have been just as effective to have called it "Thunderbirds X: Team America"

I loved Thunderbirds as a kid, not to mention Stingray and Captain Scarlet. Not Joe 90 though, that sucked more than a crack whore with withdrawal symptoms.

Yeah, they re-showed them all, and as soon as Joe 90 came out everyone "grew out of it", which is another way of saying acquired taste, because it was an inferior cartoon, which sullied puppets' good name...

Great movie...

My favourite bits were Chris' revelation about why he doesn't like actors, the Pearl Harbor song and the AIDS song. The pops at actors and Micheal Moore ruled too.
