Do any of you have a favorite actor/actress where you would go see a movie just to see them in it? I LOVE Tom Hanks. I can't tell you of any movie I have missed of his in YEARS. I still remember loving him in "Big" and "Splash" long long ago . Oh, and of course, I loved him in the TV Show "Bosom Buddies". I just know that most everything that Tom Hanks makes will be good. Some are better than others, but I never miss one of his performances. How about you?

| No, but there are actors/tresses whose work I always enjoy and so if I rent a movie and I know they're in it, then at least part of the movie will be fun. Kathy Bates is one of them, Steve Buscemi, Samuel L. Jackson...lots and lots. And I loved John Candy. I would watch everything he ever did. Wonderful man. | ||

| I can't really think of anyone I can't miss in a movie. No one comes to mind. I like the older Dick Van Dyke movies: Mary Poppins, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, etc. and even like some of the things he's done on TV, but I can't say I wouldn't miss him. | ||

| I would have to agree with you about Tom Hanks. Just about every movie I have seen him in I have enjoyed. I also have enjoyed George Clooney. So he would probably be another one that would draw me into seeing a movie he was involved with. | ||

It just seems that Tom Hanks is involved in movies that I want to go and see. Of course... when I see he is in it, I then want to see the movie. So, not sure which comes first.

| Ten years ago I would have said: Mel Gibson, Bruce Willis and Tom Hanks. But now actors are in such varied movies that there's a few I pass on for each actor. Like "The Ladykillers" with Hanks. I think sometimes the director can be a better bet. I don't miss any of Steven Speilberg's movies. Ridley Scott and Michael Mann are two other safe bets. | ||
