I was wondering. do you think it's possible to be a great actress & a singer at the same time. And which female actress/singer do you think has the best acting AND singing talent? I started thinking about this after I found out that Jennifer Landon (daughter of Michael Landon of 'Highway to Heaven', 'Little House on the Prairie', & 'Bonanza' fame) who followed her dad's acting career and really did well in the daytime soap AWS (As the World Turns) went on to launch a singing career. I believe she only has 1 song out right now, called Slide, but it's really good. You can check it on iTunes if you like. Any thoughts?"

| I'm trying to think of actress/singers. I think Madonna has done dreaful acting jobs in the films she's tried. She's sort of interesting but incredibly self-conscious. In some ways, I think Jennifer Lopez is actually a better actress than singer ...well, I never liked her music anyway. | ||

While she wasn't remarkable in all movies, Barbara Striesand has played a few decent roles. Although I like her voice, I find her live performances as a singer more unnatural and awkward than some of her movie roles. She carries on rather self-indulgent monologues on stage. Judging by how many people come , though, I suppose I'm in a minority.

| I loved Streisand as a singer years ago, but her acting leaves me a little cold. Also, so many of the films she's been in she also produced. Remember the one called Nuts ...she was supposed to be homeless and because she was the executive producer, every shot of her had gel on the lens to make her look beautiful. It's almost laughable because no other person is shot that way and the cuts between people make you laugh out loud for her vanity. | ||

| I would have to agree with Bette Midler. Beaches was one of my all time favorite movies. I also was unaware that Michael Landon's daughter was a singer or and actress. I loved Michael Landon. I will have to check out her new song. | ||

| I have to agree with everyone else about Bette Midler. Her voice is fantastic and I loved her in Beaches. I really like Jennifer Lopez, also, though. I have loved her romantic comedies and I enjoy most of her music. I always lose track that she is actually a singer and not an actress first. I also have to say that I enjoy Beyonce as a singer and as an actress. She was great in Dreamgirls and in the Austin Powers (so funny!) | ||
