And yeah, his comedy is always very same-y, but you've got to give him credit for branching out into a bit of drama. He could have spent the rest of his life doing inane comedy, but he has tried to do somethin a bit different, and even if people don't like it, he's got some integrity as an actor for not taking the path of least resistance... Or that's my opinion anyway

I agree. I wrote my review on Series of Unfortunate Events, which really showed me how overdone he can get. I'm avoiding his movies in the future. He makes me tired just looking at him. I believe, however, he's good in sincere roles, like the Truman Show.

I don't care what was nominated for what, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind was the most boring, pointless and retarded movie I've ever seen...I didn't bother to finish it. And WHAT THE HELL was up with the crazy hair??? When coloring goes bad, huh?!!?
But I really do think Jim Carrey is funny, and a good actor as well. One of my favorites is The Cable Guy. Yah, it does get rather stupid, he's still hilarious!
Dumb and Dumber is awesome too.
