That's one of my favorite movies both for Depp and DiCaprio's performances. Another one I loved was "Benny and Joon". Depp played a Chaplin-eque character and was fabulous!

I've never seen 21, but I do remember all those teenybobber rag mags with his face on the cover. Personally I didn't think he was all that good-looking until recently. He's aged well and looks better than ever. I didn't really take notice of him either until Pirates. Now, I want to watch all his movies. I guess I need to rent What's Eating... Did anyone catch him in Chocolat? He played the gypsy king and talk about hottt! He was smokin' in that one.

I really didn't think I'd like the newer version of Charley and the Chocolate Factory, but Depp made it such an interesting movie. I was surprised to enjoy it as much as I did.

And how! He looks really good in Gilbert Grape, too. I don't think there's really a movie he doesn't look good in.

Shallowness aside, I think he's definitely one of the best actors of his generation. Besides a few movies already mentioned, I also really enjoy him in "Dead Man" and "Ed Wood."

I also really liked him in "Secret Window", which is a Stephen King story and he plays the writer with a stalker who may or may not be there. He was so good in that.

That was actually the first movie I noticed him in. He had a catlike way of courting Julietter Binoche - smooth and langorous. He was cute and funny with her daughter too.

I never watched Jump Street but Johnny Dep even in a bad movie is great. The man is good.
