Johnny Depp

I was never a big fan of Johnny Depp until I saw the first Pirates movie on DVD. I'd seen a couple of other things, and thought he was good enough, but I hadn't realized just how versatile he is and since then, I've picked up quite a few of his movies and I really appreciate how well he slips into different roles. His characters are never all that much alike, and I appreciate that in an actor.

I remember him from 21 Jump Street, and really didn't think he was that great in it. However, as he's aged, he's taken on such a variety of roles, that I think he's better than I first thought.

Have you ever seen "What's Eating Gilbert Grape?" This was an amazingly thoughtful movie that Johnny Depp was in. Leonardo DiCaprio was in this, too, and was UNREAL. I highly recommend this movie. It is a bit quirky, but has SO much heart.

Yes, Gilbert Grape was a good movie. I honestly thought that DiCpario was handicapped, he did such an awesome job!
I have liked every Depp movie I have ever seen!

JOhnny Depp is terrific ...and I don't even like the Pirate movies. He's a good actor. He was great in Edward Sissorhands, Blow, Finding NEverland, etc.

He's also going to do the movie based on Litvienko, the spy who was poisoned recently.

I also liked him in "From Hell" where he played Inspector Abberline, and Robbie Coltrane (whom I love) played his sidekick sergeant. It was an interesting look at the Jack the Ripper murders.

I haven't thought about 21 Jumpstreet in a long time actually. I really started liking him in the Pirates movies. I did like him before then but I just think that over the last five years his acting has been awesome.

Glad I could bring back a blast from the past with Jumpstreet. At least I'm not the only one old enough to remember it. LOL

You don't really see much out of the rest of the cast. Wonder what happened to them?

Do you all remember that he was the cute boyfriend in the original "Nightmare on Elm Street"? He was sucked into the bed and killed fairly early on the movie. But, he was SUCH A HOTTIE!!!!
I did love him on 21 Jumpstreet, though, as well.
