most romantic couple

Who do you think made/makes the most romantic on-screen couple? For the older classics, I think the sparks were very lively between Katherine Hepburn and Spencer Tracey. For more modern, I like the Julia Roberts/Richard Gere mix. There is a certain mutual vulnerability that's kind of sweet.

I agree, on both choices of romantic duos. Of course, with Hepburn and Tracey, there was actual history there. With Roberts and Gere, it's just on-screen chemistry. Funny, you don't really notice that she's a good couple of inches taller than him.

Well, there was Olivier and Vivian Lee ...who got married. Michelle Peiffer and George Clooney had great chemistry in One Fine Day. And what about Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan in Sleepless in Seattle?

The funny thing about Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan, is that they don't become a couple until the last five seconds of the movies they're in.

I'll vote for Burt Reynolds and Sally Field. They always had fun.

Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. I think it was called Overboard. Cute couple off screen and on!

I'd have to stick with the classics: Richard Burton & Elizabeth Taylor, Hepburn & Tracy (and don't forget Hepburn & Peck in Roman Holiday!) and Bogart & Bacall.

I would have to agree with Katherine Hepburn and Spencer Tracey. I always thought that they were good together and their real feelings seemed to come out on screen also.

I liked Burton and Taylor too, but she had chemistry with alot of guys ...even Rock Hudson in Giant. Speaking of gay guys, Cary Grant always mustered up a lot of chemistry with people like Audrey Hepburn, etc
