I am going to be buying my better half an HP Photosmart R707 with the dock, and two extra batteries, and a 512MB SD card for Christmas. I ordered the dock today, will order the camera tomorrow, and the card on Friday (If I spread it over a couple days it makes me feel not so broke).

Now, I also want to get a camcorder, something simple for school functions, birthday parties, etc... but when it comes to a camcorder I'm at a loss with all the features. Just need something that won't look like crap, but won't break the bank (Budget about $200 for this?). Any advice?

Camcorders are pretty expensive as compared to digital cameras. Nowadays many digital cameras will have video recording features and all too.
