Review of Blu-Ray version of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince | | For all of you that watch Blu-ray movies here is my take on the new release of "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" I avoided buying Blu-ray before because they were so expensive but now the price is really comparable to regular DVDS. On Amazon this movie is only $15.49.
The latest in the Harry Potter series is geared towards an older crowd than the earlier ones. I personally found the Harry Potter and Half-Blood Prince to be more mature than the earlier films. It is an unexpected character study, a mystery and a tragic/shocking tale. It is definitely the darkest of all the films.
In many ways I found it really surprising that the these kid actors have grown into their skins and are able to carry the more complex themes of this latest film.
