[REVIEW] King Kong

Well I would be a monkey's uncle.. the guy is the size of a T-REX!! Does this mean we are back in Jurassic park? That T-Rex looked exactly like the one that ate the guy who was pooing in the men's room.

Maybe its getting a little lame but I am starting NOT to fancy big monkeys carrying beautiful women and climbing up a skyscaper. What was that objective anyway? The amazing thing is that he tore up the T-rex so easily, but he did not even hurt the lady he was carrying... He must have got ditched by his mate so he was looking for a new one.

Aside with the critics, the special effects for this film are not bad at all
If you really fancy over sized monkeys tearing up buildings then this is for you. Or at least see an improved version of the old series. This is something like Sky Captain, reincarnations of the good old times with modern technology.

I loved it. For once, they captured the whole "Beauty and the Beast" angle perfectly. That's due to the fact that Kong is so realisitic. It shows in his eyes and his expressions.

The reason for climbing the Empire State Building was simply because it was the tallest thing around and it let him get away from the army that was shooting at him...until the planes showed up. By then though, he knew he wasn't at home and that there was no way he was going to get back there. That last line: "It wasn't the fall that did it, t'was beauty that killed the beast", kind of bugged me actually. It wasn't beauty that killed him. She tried to do what she could to save him. It was Carl's greed that killed Kong.

As for the T-Rex looking similar to the ones in "Jurassic Park", well what are they supposed to look like? All we have are skeletons to go off of. The skin texture to these was different, it looked more like a crocodile's skin. And they had three fingers, instead of two. Peter Jackson says that's due to these Rex's evolving for 65 million years on Skull Island.

The film did have an airbrushed, faded look to it, but while that wouldn't work for most movies, it did for this one. If you even think you might want to see it, go see it in a theater. Because seeing it on DVD won't do it justice.

The beauty killed the beast because he was trying to protect the beauty.
Its almost like the Disney's Beauty and the Beast if you look at it in another angle

Yeah, but for Carl to be the one to say it, it just seemed wrong. Kong wouldn't have died if Carl hadn't brought him to New York. Originally they wanted Fay Wray to deliver the line, but she died before filming.

A 3 year old to se king kong... Thats like a little overkill for a kid his age.
He would just scream or stay dead quiet and not remember a thing. He may just spoil your day too.

I played the DS release of King Kong and it was horrible! The game play was boring and I ditched it after a few rounds of trying to move around.
