We had a weekend full of movie going so I thought I would share with people my impressions of what we saw. Blades of Glory, with Will Ferrell and Jon Heder, was a dumb comedy with cr humour and I loved it! The premise of the movie is that Heder and Ferrell's characters are figure skaters with personalities as different as can be. Due to a scuffle after a tie for the gold medal they are banned from figure skating forever, at which point they both float through life trying to find something else they are capable of doing. A loophole in the regulations is discovered which allow the two a chance to skate in the pairs competition and they reluctantly become the first male-male pair in figure skating history. The movie relies on a lot of veiled references and physical comedy suggestive of sexual behavior to get laughs as well as the highly caricatured characters that Heder and Ferrell play. If you like goofy comedy with low-brow humour, this movie should be on your list to see. | ||

| I don't know anything about Jon Heder, but Will Farrell makes my stomach turn. He just does absolutely nothing for me, and I won't put money in his pocket. In fact, I won't even watch anything of his if it's on regular tv. Thanks for the review, but I think I'll pass. | ||

| What I liked about Will Farrell is that even though he's always over the top he's pretty versatile in how he's over the top. So his character in this movie is out there but not the same kind of out there as his character in Talladega Nights or Elf, etc. | ||
