My son downloaded this over the weekend and we just watched it. It's silly and very weird in places. I wouldn't recommend it for younger children, but probably 14 and up would be okay, depending. If in doubt, watch it yourself first. I can see how Sacha Baron Cohen got into so much trouble with this one!

I haven't seen this one and unfortunately probably won't. I heard how he got into trouble with this with a lot of politico things, but, I guess he thought it was worth it.

I started to watch this movie and for some reason just was not into it. But you are right I can see where all the hoopla came from.

I recently saw it on a rented dvd and thought it was pretty funny. Outrageous but still funny. My biggest problem is now with the store I rented the film from. They edited out the homosexual part! Couldn't believe it!

How did they manage that on a DVD? Or is there a version running around that is trimmed for the bible belt or something? I can't imagine how you'd edit a DVD. My mind boggles.

Beats me too, but they managed to screw up the sections they disagreed with ...I even asked about it when I returned because I wanted a refund. They gave me one. When I asked if there was an unedited copy, it was 'no comment'.

That is the bizarrest thing I ever heard of. Why bother carrying it in the first place then, and who appointed them Keeper of the Public Morals, or whatever they think they're doing?

I haven't seen it, but I've heard about it. I find this a touchy topic. Isn't he basically mocking an entire country and culture using the lowest, most exaggerated stereotypes he can find?
