I knew that all the legends included the promise of never doing it again but I never realized that was the significance of the rainbow. Very cool.

I had completely forgotten about those movies. What a hoot-George Burns with his cigar as God. That was awesome!

Yeah, I saw the preview at "Pirates," too. It looked like it would be cute, but I doubt I'll watch it. At least not until it comes out on DVD. I still haven't seen Bruce Almighty.

"Bruce Almighty" was hysterically funny in places and one of Jim Carrey's more recent films that I really enjoyed. And Morgan Freeman makes a very good God.

There's a scene in that movie in which he parts the red tomato soup and it never fails to make me laugh hysterically.

I just saw this and was a little disappointed with the story. The event which Evan builds the ark for was not so huge and didn't seem to make it worth all the trouble. It made no sense for animals such as lions, giraffes, elephants, hyenas, water buffalo, llamas, etc. to show up in this movie. If you watch the film you'll see what I mean. Raccoons, deer, foxes, cats, dogs, yes... animals local to the region, but not the others. The event is on a small scale regarding an area of land purchased by a politician. That's only place that's affected, not the whole world being in danger.

I'm not surprised that it didn't do that well. Some parts of the trailer looked funny, but "Steve Carrell is Noah" just can't compare to the initial reaction of hearing "Jim Carrey is God". This seems like it'd be a decent dvd rental though, the kind of movie you only need to see once.

I think the trailer for Carrell's movie next summer, "Get Smart", looks great though.

get smart comes out on june 20th. i really liked Evan Almighty, it was very funny, but yeah, it doesn't quite make sense why tons of foreign animals come to the ark for a not so quite, Earth destroying flood. overall I liked it, and can't wait till get smart.
