Georgia Byrd, played by Queen Latifah, is an ordinary, but talented, retail worker in the cookware department of a gourmet supply shop. Georgia crushes on her co-worker, Sean, played by LL Cool J, but is much too shy to tell him. When she discovers she only has three weeks to live, she decides to live her life to the fullest- a way she hasn’t thus far. Georgia cashes her life savings and heads to Europe for her last days on earth. She checks herself into a four-star hotel and gets a makeover, buying all new expensive clothing. She forms a friendship with a four-star chef in the hotel, Chef Didier, played by Gérard Depardieu, when he becomes aware of her acute pallet and her wonderful appetite for gourmet cuisine. But when her crush, Sean, finds out about her condition, he sets out to Europe to find her before his chance has passed to tell her that he truly loves her.

I rate this movie an 8 out of 10. I thought it was a really inspiring and motivating movie. Queen Latifah is funny, as usual, in this comedy. I would recommend this to anyone who would enjoy a romantic comedy.

Although the premise was a little unlikely, it's always nice to see a movie that reminds you not to put off living. Depardieu was very well cast as the bon vivant chef who gets offended by people who don't know how to appreciate food.
