Has anyone else since this movie? I was really intrigued by the way the stories of ordinary people were told and entwined so that you saw a glimpse of the nation's culture at the time of Bobby Kennedy's assassination. It tells the stories of that day in the life of a few different couples and a couple of campaign workers and follows them until their lives intersect in the hotel kitchen where Kennedy was shot. I also didn't know that he lived for a couple of days prior to succumbing to his wounds.
More interesting to me was watching the interviews (extras on the DVD) of people who were actually there and wounded alongside of Kennedy that day. It's amazing to think that this is a piece of history they will carry with them forever. How does a thing like that change your life? How different would our country be if the Kennedy's hadn't been assassinated? |
