Enough of all those Japanese Horror films that scare us silly every single time.
Now for something different, Hinoko.

One day, an accident killed Satoru Iwamoto's Mum and leaves him paralzed which his mobility is thus bounded to the wheelchair.
His father then gives him a robot, H-603 ( Hinokio ) which inturn attends school in his place.

Through the adventures and happenings of Hinoko, Satoru both love and pain.

This touching movie is directed by Takahiko Akiyama, who was also the VFX director of Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within ( the story for FF: SW was crap but the special effects was top notch! )

But one thing is for sure.... The Japanese really find that Humaniod Robots are the way of the future ( I think that way too )
Which means "THEY ARE GOING TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD!!!" LOL

I didn't know about this film but you have raised my curiosity, it sounds original and I like films who aren't pale copies of others, might give that one a check and will give you my impressions after.

What I am really interested in, is the robot.
The japanese have been known to make real humaniod robots and Sony maybe marketting their humaniod droid soon.

yeah this show is so amazing with the robot that they made.. it's like i robot but japanese version!!! keeps me thinking what the future would be like!!!
