Chasing Amy

Has anyone else seen this gem of a film by Kevin Smith? Despite the budget of a mere $250k, it manages to be, in my opinion, one of the best combinations of interesting plot and exquisite moments of comedy genius ever committed to celluloid. And that's before even mentioning Chasing Amy's Jason Lee...

Anyone who hasn't seen it, you can pick it up for £8 in Music Zone, and it's well worth every penny, as it's likely got something for any demographic, male or female between the ages of 15-40... and there's Jason Lee in it too... (I can't stress how amusing he is in it)

I have never seen the film but have heard good things, will have to investigate.

It is good to see the correct spelling of Amy for once.

Yeah, budget counts for nothing, Waterworld was $120m of dullness... A good script goes a lot further than high production values. And if it wasn't for the strength of this film, Dogma would not have had half of it's cast, because most of them were either in it (Affleck, Damon, Lee) or were fans of it (Rickman, Hayek, Fiorentino)

I liked Mallrats, Dogma and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back so I assume I'd like this. Not sure if I'll buy it anytime soon though.

Actually, I think that you'll like Chasing Amy more than those three, because some of the conversations are right up your avenue of humour
