In the movie Jerry MacGuire, Rene said to Tom Cruise in between sobs.. "You had me at hello"... WTF does this mean? This is one phrase that I don't understand...Help? | ||

| Movie Critic | Haven't seen the film, but I've seen it parodied... Basically just saying "You don't need to say anything else to make me want you, I already do, and have done since you first said 'Hello' to me" Or so is my interpretation... having not seen the original, the parody might've taken a different slant to it, as they have been known to do...

| So, if the first word that Cruise said to Rene is "Hi"... then it would be "You had me at hi"... is that it? | ||

| Movie Critic | Pretty much... I think it's more of a romantic sentiment than an recollection, but that's the gist of it
