Ladder 49

*yawn*... Not as good compared to backdraft... The whole ladder49 is not exciting and does not create an aura of suspense... What a bore!!!

The movie started with a firefighter battling a huge fire in a tall building and was trapped when part of the building collapsed (this part is ok) then the movie took a turn to show snippets of the firefighter's past (that was where it got boring)...

The whole movie is jumping from present to past to present to past to present to past... (you get what I mean)...

A few members of the 3 fire departments we have here in my town, went to see Ladder 49 as a group. They said that the movie was excellent, and that it was so realistic to them. I heard recently that they are planning on buying each member of their departments a copy of the movie.

That's going to be a drag... why buy such sad movie for firefighters? Essentially, the movie had 3 firefighters dead or terribly injured due in their course of duty... isn't this going to be a demotivater factor?
