It's called Ringu, incase you didnt know

And I'm yet to see it. Have seen the American version though, and really enjoyed that.

Ringu, sounds like a gay penguin to me.

I liked the Japanese Ring, haven't seen the American.

The Ring 2 is further proof that the world has a shortage of movie ideas.

Gay penguin, how post-modern...

Anywho, the original two parts of the series I felt were excellent, if only because the Japanese can pull off terror like no other nation I've seen. The third part (Ringu 0) was in an entirely different style, and wasn't in my opinion a patch on the other 2...

Does anyone know of any plans to release Ringu on Region 2?

Yeah, Ted has the trilogy too, it was 3 for £20 in Music Zone as I've pimped on the other Ring-like thread... They're called Ring, Ring 2 and Ring 0: Birthday here though, if my memory serves

You can buy it from a local HMV store or online here.

Its all region (0). I've rented it from Blcokbuster and the picture quality aint too good though. In terms of picture quality, it looks like a film you would watch at the cinema (tiny white spots appear every now and then).

Anyway, I thought that the japanese version was better than the american version.
