Scarface

Got the special edition of this a few weeks ago, and although I enjoyed it, there were a couple of things that struck me about it, the main one being that I have never seen a film that looks quite so "'80s"... It's just so brash and colourful that it couldn't have been made during any other time period.

The other thing was that it just seemed to be a little bit too long, and was dragging at some points, especially the montage/music video bit.

Having said that, it has more than it's fair share of non-cheesy bits, if not in the visuals, then at least in what's actually happens, and makes for quite a stark tale.

Scarface is one of the best films ever I din't know they had released a collector but trust me to go out and buy it at the first occasion, what extras do the have on it?
I guess it must look a bit old now but what a jewel to have in your collection, Brian Depalmas is a genious for putting all that together.
Al Pacino is one of my fav. actors ever, this and Godfather would have to be the 2 best films he ever did.
Al Pacino plays as Tony Montana, a Cuban immigrant whom arrives in Miami Flordia to become the cocaine king of the city and the most successful one at that. However, it becomes a living hell when he fights against the other mobs of the city, his sister having affairs with other men and his relationship with a beautiful woman named Elviria ( Michelle Pfeifer) is mixed when he's going out killing for Coke ( the drug, not the drink).

Well the first time I saw this picture I was in the 8th grade and was completely mesmerized by it. I mean the performance by Mr. Pacino is by far the best in his illustrious career, and wow what a film,it was amazing for it's time! you gave me an idea i might just get it for christmas!

I never saw the DVD version, but I saw the movie and a little bit of the TV version. I didn't see the whole thing, I just saw the part when scarface said "eating... p****", but they changed that word to pineapple, and it was funny. I should watch that movie again, the end was cool, how the guy came up and shot him. He looked like the Terminator. Does this movie remind anyone of GTA?

Together with Michael Corleone, this role is probably Pacino's best. The movie is greatly directed and acted. Michel Pfeiffer playes her role very well, and of course Al Pacino is convincing as ever. I spent the whole weekend watching Pacino movies, first Godfather, then Scarface, Heat and Devil's Advocate...the man is a genius in his field

Hands down. This is the best gangster movie i have ever seen if not the best movie i have ever seen. Al pachino was great in taxi driver and I loved the gangster movie good fellas and casino but this one tops them all. Common the famous say hello to my little friend? This movie shows gore and the reality of a true mafia gang. The part where the guy gets sliced up in the bathroom...classic. But he got his alright. It shows how the man went from rags to riches...

Scarface

The first time I watched this I was totally captivated by Al Pacino. After watching him in this role, I've been a fan of his ever since. But, one of my all-time fav movies of his is, Scent of a Woman with Heat being my second choice. Him and DeNiro together...perfect!
