I mostly enjoyed it, but like most of you, Tom Cruise was not my first choice for the main role. I'm at a point where I will actually avoid a movie if he's in it, and I almost didn't see this one because of that, but my son rented it and I watched it with him.

I thought TC played himself. You know the know it all that has an answer for everything.

I liked the movie. It wasn't my favorite, but it was worth seeing. The whole attack on the city was amazing, a really tense scene in the theater. I think the aliens did people a favor by getting rid of a lot of those people. If only they'd have gotten his son, that kid was so friggin' annoying.

I was never a fan of Cruise until around "Mission: Impossible" came out. And I loved all three of those. "Collateral" and "The Last Samurai" are two of my favorites of his.

I have never been a Tom Cruise fan either. Although I have to a agree with you on The Last Samurai. I think he did an awesome job in that movie.
