I'm feeling inspired today when i look back at all the lazy stuff released in 2005!! How could i forget to mention our scientologist, Mr cruise! O.Wells' s War of the worlds is one of the best books i ever got to read, the first time i read it i was something like 10 years old and it's thanks to books like that one that i fell in love with books and reading. I was a little worried when i heard that they were going to release war of the worlds as the next big cruise and whatever movie , and it sadly turned out that i was right. This didn't remind me of the great book I was use to, it just looked like one big joke, no repect here at all! ![]()

| IMO it was poorly made and had very rushed bits init , does the book explain why it only vapourises the person and not the clothes , does it explain why they would of caught the common cold and died (kind of reminds me of the signs where there allergic to water , thats it come to a planet made of 75%water)how comes all the people in the pod only helped tom cruise and not the other person??? How comes his son went to that hill and it got exploded but he was fine? How comes he is the only person who knew what to change in the car , even more than the mechanics. It put cruise and speilberg together , you would expect more. Cronus:smile: | ||

| the beggining is oki, i like the way the magnetic storm and all that was brung into the story but after the tripod comes out of the ground oit just went down hill, to start off what got me furious is the way they all stay there wanting to get shot and the way tom waits a loooooooong time before going home to check on his kids.If it happened to me i don't know what i'd do but one thing is sure, i wouldn't stay around waiting and i'd only have one thing in mind, getting home to my kids! | ||

I had a really tough time believing in this entire storyline. Puh-leeze like blood-sucking vampire aliens are coming to our planet just to drink our blood? And then vomit and die? C'mon! Men in Black aliens were better than that. I do think Cruise do a good job playing the deadbeat middle-class dad though. Reminded me of some of the guys around my hometown (which isn't a good thing).
