I always skip the credits for the movies though, I only remember once where I stayed on was for Madagascar where you see them doing stupid moves. But well, I never even took note of the credits anyway :P

you'd be suprised how many things are aded after the credits as extras, like when i went to watch matrix 2, i never new there was a preview of number 3 at the end

I've yet to see WOTW, as I've heard MANY bad reviews about the movie. I think it'll be one that I wait for a buddy to buy or rent and bring over.

And as for the Matrix 2 thing, I had gone to it with a bunch of friends and we were all sitting, talking about the movie through the credits, we were only ones left in the theater when the trailer came on. Was a surprise to me too

In my views... Don't bother wasting the time even if it was free :P Unless you are really really bored and have nothing better to do for that few hours. But some ear plus will do you good with all that screaming.

I think the way the movie began (showing the bacteria on a single drop of water) was not tied at all to the rest of the movie. I truly love the movie, except for this part. I mean, if it were a movie about attacking bacteria, or a sickness that has spread throughout a town, the bacteria on the drop of water would have been a good way to grab the audience's attention.
Yet, it is absolutely not a clever way to begin War of the Worlds.
