I wonder how many lines she had other then screaming at the top of her voice... I almost fell asleep from the movie and the reason I watched it because Tom Cruise did such a good one in "the Last Samurai: but this one was more about him running and running and running a little more. Lastly aliens were killed because birds were placing their droppings on their ships and Cruise saw that it was they chance to plcae th bullet back at them... The can be renamed into 2 separte titles. "Run and Scream at the same time" OR may be even "Super germ saves the day" ... ( I stress, single cell organism !) Sheesh...  | ||

| Did you know war of the worlds is a book and it's based in horsell in woking in the UK...maybe you'd like to add that to your list of complaints! It should of been filmed 5 minutes from my doorstep.

I haven't seen it yet. Had some friends who went and saw it in theaters... They weren't very impressed if I remember right. I didn't think it looked all that great by the previews. | ||

| it needed a greater military vs the alliens presence in it, all i saw was screem run scream some more run run run, oh no girls stopped running to scream, run back get screaming girl, carry on running

| Maybe they could have filmed it an another angle. A trooper in the Marines trying to save his country from invading aliens and then gets his chance when a guy tells him about birds siting on those tripods. More action, more thrill. | ||

| Nealy all films of books suck! Though I liked the way they actually added some things from the book...such as when the girl needs the loo and the bodys are floating down the river...well, from memory the latter part of that is in the book! | ||

| thats the only film that at the end of it, it made me want to punch the boy and the screaming girl for being asses, oh no big alien il stand here and screan and put my entire family in danger id have left her

| Generally I'd have to say that it'd have worked better as a period piece, rather than setting it in the modern day when we blatantly would have the technology and ability to take the Martians down... Also did anyone else notice how Dakota Fanning's character looked more emaciated at the start of the film than at the end, after spending what was supposed to be (or at least felt like) weeks on the run?
