His movies in the 80s were so good, Police Story, Project A, etc. Whats happened now? Has he been bit by the Hollywood bug? I mean Shanghai Noon was quite good, but his latest flick, Around the World in 80 Days, was absolutely crap. Only reason I still watch is for the stunts. I do wish Jackie would consider doing another of his Hong Kong flicks. Even his "romance scenes" in the 80s were a lot funnier than the ones he does today. I heard however he's planning to retire from filmmaking and start up a martial arts school. | ||

| Movie Critic | Yeah, in all honesty I think the Hollywood films were just something for him to retire from the business on, and after what he's put himself through for the industry in the past, I can't blame him... Seen some of the 80s films and they're rather good in my opinion, if only for the comedy aspect and dubbing on some of them. Can't remember the names off the top of my head, but there was one where they went to Egypt or somewhere desert-y to find Nazi gold or something...

| The reason Jackie Chan is moving along Holloywood is simply for a larger market share and gain Western acceptance for his movies... IMHO, his stunts are still great and more daring compared to those in the 80s... ![]() | ||
