My White Noise review

Sorry posted this in the wrong forum last time. here is my White Noise Review.

I was at my local movie theatre with a group of friends ready to see a movie that some critic (Probably not a very good one) called one of the creepiest movies of the year. Upon exiting the theatre, I realized two things that proved this particular critic terribly wrong.

1) This is 2005, AKA a year that just began, and whats this? White Noise is the first horror movie to be released? No way. Oh yeah, it was.

2) The movie was so uncreepy that you could bring a birthday party full of children not afraid of the dark and random shadows to watch it, and they would probably have a good time.

THE LOWDOWN:
If you are into movies that consist of Driving, watching fuzzy TV screens, talking, and a parent who ignores his child, then this movie is obviously for you. Seriously, 75% of the movie is just that. About 5% of the movie involves generic horror movie cliches that seem to be thrown in for no reason. Oh my God its a black shadow moving across the screen. The director seems to have had a clever idea while making White Noise. Lets call it a horror movie, and then not make it scary. As listed above, you see a few black shadows and moments of suspense that make you jump, but thats really it. There is nothing strikingly horrifing about it. The story is also bad in this movie, but I won't say anything about it incase you want to witness the movie for yourself.

The acting is the only decent part in this movie. Micheal Keaton plays a pretty good role, even though most of his part consists of staring at a TV screen while ignoring is child and any contact with the outside world. The other roles are mediocre, with a few bad actors thrown in.

There is not much more to say about White Noise other than this: If you are itching to see a horror movie sometime in the future, buy tickets for White Noise, watch the previews and witness about 3 other horror movies that look 3 times better, write down their names, and then leave.

I give it a D.
