Fair enough. Although I thought the bonus DVD was rather disappointing in the end. Good as they were, they could have at least made the effort to animate the deleted scenes. It's not as if they had much else to do on the show at the time

Yeah, 'twould have been cool, but as much time as they had, they didn't have a great deal of money, which sucks... Having said that, animatics do give it that "left on the cutting floor" feel, like the unsaturated out-takes u see on movie DVDs.

So the new series has finally started in the US, and through the magic of the internet, I've seen it and I have to say it's looking very promising.

For the benefit of everyone not watching it in the US or online, Episodes 1 and 2 feel a little rushed but do show that it's still he same insane show it always was. Episode 3 though is just amazing. Possibly one of the best episodes made and anyone who enjoyed the chicken fight in season 2's "Da Boom!" is going to love it

I beg to differ about 1 being rushed, the POTC2 bit is on a par with Black to the future as being the funniest spoof they've ever done...

Oh, and yes, the internet does rule...

True...the POTC2 spoof was great. When I said it was rushed it wasn't a bad thing...I just felt that they were trying to do too much at once to get the sow going again - There wasa lot going on in the first 5 minutes of the episode, but once it settled down it improved immensely.

True, the start was a touch sloppy, apparently they'd had 6 scripts written from before they got cancelled though, so I'd assume that a lot of the first few eps will have been written in 2001, with updates to bring them into 2005.

Yeah some of the material does seem like it's been added in to update it. Like the end sequence from Blind Ambition. Just a coincidence that the airing of that episode coincided with the release of Revenge Of The Sith? I doubt it but for a massive Star Wars fan like me it was absolutely hilarious - and perfect right down to the last detail

Looking forward to the rest of the season - if Fox ever decides to show them that is. I mean whats up with that? You wait three years for some new material and then they take a break after just three episodes. I don't live in America so I don't know the full story but part of the reason it got cancelled in the first place was apparently because they messed around so much with the airdates no-one ever knew when it was on. Do TV executives never learn.

Yeah, they're gonna show the next one on Sunday, wonder if what they have here is actually what's gonna happen though...
