I don't think any series is made for just one season. They all want to last at least five years so they can get a syndication deal and get the big money.

No series is meant to last five years! And I'm not kidding, that is true. How could Lost last for five years anyhow? Impossible; although they've been pushing smallville for quite some time... well still, I know what I said is true.

All they have to do is give you more questions than answers. Who knows, maybe another plane will crash on the island? That could be another year of stories right there. When a show lasts five years, they can sell the rerun rights to it all the syndicated stations. How do you think Jerry Seinfeld got so rich? Shows that are horrible in their fourth seasons always limp through the fifth just for the syndication money. One hour dramas are no different. Just look at "The X Files" and "NYPD Blue".

Is anyone else still watching it? What did you think of the season finale? It looks like next season will just totally turn the series on it's head. I love it! Three seasons are over, we have three more shortened seasons to go.
