I wonder whether you have tried watching your favorite TV sitcom on your PC because you don't have access to such sitcom in your locality or in your country. I came across offers like watch TV on your PC for a fee like this http://www.coolsite.com/watch_tv_on_pc.html . Is this good?

I've often been disapointed in the watching TV on my Pc attempts i've done.
I finaly never realy get to watch what i had planned to at the beggining. And when i ask people if their's a way to watch oversea tv's on my PC , most of the time the answer is no or only poor ones mostly made for internet, not the real thing.
People tell me that if i want to watch real tv via my computer I will have to buy this or that to be able to do so...

As for the original question, i know that my brother in law watched his favorite japonese animation episodes daily and with subtitles.

I have tried out 2 products (can’t remember name) and they both sucked... You will not be able to watch it direct (only some channels), and if your brother is downloading stuff (Japanese anime in my case) you won’t be able to stream. Buy a satelite.

I have a TV card for my PC which hooked up really well when I had cable but I can't figure out how to run the satellite feed to it. Anyone know if that's possible?

I have seen these types of sites but have not tried any because I just wasn't sure if they are worth the money. I would like to do this just to see some shows that I don't get here.

I've seen some software advertised that's supposed to allow you to watch TV on your computer, but they all seem bogus to me. I'm too stingey with my money to give it a try.
