Mailer Choices

We have something similar going on the SD forum but I thought I would post it here too...the more opinions the better for sure.

I'm always looking to find better ways to send discs so I thought it would be a good idea to see what everyone is using. Shipping them safely is most important to me but finding good deals is always nice.

Right now I'm using up what paperboard mailers I have left until they run out. I've started to use a 6"x9" white envelope I got at Office Max. More then big enough to put the artwork and disc in without having to fold the artwork more then the one time along the seem. I also put the disc in a plastic clam shell for extra protection. Total cost is about $0.20-25 including the envelope and clam shell. The envelope is nice because I have a word document setup to print my return address and I can just copy and paste the recipient’s right from the switchdiscs site.

I also use a "peermailer like" method for cds but I put the disc in a clam shell too. The artwork fits perfectly in it without folding along with the disc in a clam shell. Good for CDs but wouldn't recommend it for dvds or games because you would have to fold the artwork too much and practically damage it.

Postage is $0.63 most of the time with some games and dvds going up to $0.86 I think.

What do you guys do?

Walmart. They are just thin cardboard envelops about 7 inches long and 5 inches wide. Give or take an inch.

Switchdiscs recommends cdrom2go.com and I've used them before and liked them.

Here's a link: cdrom2go.com mailers

Wal-Mart seems like a good choice too...I've seen them in office max or depot I'm not sure.

I hope that helps.
